ePayment Web Service

ePayment Web Service provides participating UBC departments with secure, real-time authorization and processing of credit card and/or Interac Online® payments. This is suitable for merchants who have their own website/shopping cart and require electronic/online payment processing. As with other payment process on campus, ePayment is subject to UBC PCI DSS compliancy.

Note: merchants MUST have an online store/shopping cart/registration website and have resources to integrate such system to ePayment. If merchant is not able to do this on their own, there are a few options available, please contact us for more information.

Overview

Once the customer has gone through the process of selecting items for purchase and is now ready to "check out" at the your website/shopping cart, they will click a payment button which will transfer them to the ePayment service where they will enter payment details, e.g. credit card number. ePayment will authorize this payment in real time and send the response to the customer and your merchant service. Authorized transactions will be transmitted from ePayment to Workday automatically, provided the ePayment account has been set up with the correct GL code / workday tag.

Note: For more information regarding workday tags, contact the person with a Cost Centre accountant(CCA) role in your faculty/department.
